Plastic Wash Bottle

Product Description - Plastic Wash Bottle

What Is a Plastic Wash Bottle?

Plastic Wash bottle is a soft flexible bottle with a curved tube that is inserted through the cap or stopper. The hose/ tube  is used to direct a stream of water onto something that needs to be rinsed or washed.

A plastic wash bottle is used in laboratory to rinse various laboratory glassware such as test tubes and round bottom flasks.

The plastic wash bottle is sealed with a screw cap. When hand pressure is applied to the bottle, the liquid inside is pressurized and expelled from the mouthpiece in a concentrated stream of liquid.

If you put the same bottle in a laboratory, it becomes a squeeze bottle with a long-handled spout used for rinsing or washing glass or plastic dishes found in a lab. These glass or plastic items include beakers, flasks, bottles, test tubes, flasks, watch glasses, Petri dishes, graduated cylinders, burettes, pipettes, slides, and stirrers.

What the use of Laboratory Plastic Wash Bottle?

Laboratory Plastic Wash bottle is primarily used in washing or rinsing various glass or plastic items in the laboratory, they are also used less, for example used to accurately fill volumetric flasks.

Plastic Wash bottles can be filled with many solvents and used as a reserve. These solvents typically include methanol, isopropyl alcohol, ethanol and acetone. When using them in this way, it is essential to color-code each bottle to easily identify the contents. Wah bottle often comes with pre-printed chemical names, formulas, Chemical Abstract Service numbers, an NFPA warning diamond, and color-coded caps for quick identification and safety compliance.

High steam pressure reagents can also be used in wash bottles. However, these cylinders must have unique valves with vents that prevent pressure build-up and prevent dripping and spillage of hazardous chemicals

How is Plastic wash bottle made?

The Plastic  wash bottle is plastic with a screw cap part. The plastic is flexible so the bottle can be squeezed by hand to create pressure that forces the liquid in the bottle to flow through the plastic tube and in a single drop or narrow stream onto the surface to be cleaned. Plastic must also be designed to resist temperature and chemical made expansion.

Bottles are manufactured with wide mouths for easy filling or narrow mouths. Plugs are standard or built-in. Bottles are vented for high vapour pressure or unvented. There are wide-mouth bottles with a traditional spout, wide-mouth bottles with an integrated spout, and wide-mouth bottles with a vented spout. There are also narrow-necked bottles with a standard spout and narrow-necked bottles with an integrated spout.

A plastic tube is inserted into the cap, the exposed end of which is bent. The plastic tube or long-handled nozzle directs a constant flow of water over the surface to be cleaned.

Plastic Wash bottles are opaque, translucent or clear and have dimensions printed on them. Measurements are usually in milliliters and liters, but sometimes also in ounces.

Advantages of using a Plastic wash bottle

The main advantage of using a Plastic wash bottle is that it helps researchers track and measure the exact amount of liquid used. In addition, it helps to ensure that unwanted substances or particles cannot pass through the wash bottles. This makes Plastic wash bottle more suitable than using a beaker and graduated cylinder.
