This is double disc polishing machine for met allographic samples. Two independent polishing units are mounted on a common MS frame, other specification as per single disc. This Machine is portable model for polishing of met allographic sample.

Why is Double  Disc Polishing Machines used?

The Double  Disc Polishing Machines are extensively used for polishing the Metallography Samples for Microscopic observation to study various metal structures. Disc Polishing Machines are finely polished to ensure a smooth, scratch-free and mirror-like appearance that enable accurate metallographic interpretation. Polishing is the final stage in producing a flat, smooth, scratch-free, and mirror-like surface. Such a surface is necessary for subsequent accurate metallographic interpretation, both qualitative & quantitative. The Polishing Machine (also called the Buffing Machine) is used to polish soft metals, including copper and brass, and plastics such as Perspex. The two ‘mops’ spin at high speed when the ‘on’ switch is pressed.
